I'ts not often that my entire post is a quote but I wanted to share something I recently read:

A spiritual revolution was underway and Jesus knew that political might, brute force, and earthly governments were not helpful tools in a battle for hearts. Spiritual revolutions are subversive. They are led by defiant acts of love (healing, foot washing, and martyrdom). Laws do not change hearts, and military force only induces hatred and fear.
