embracing life

Another perspective on life, worldviews, and God - and how they all fit together in everyday experience. Simple stuff.

blogs, Big toes and Epsom salt?

What is...how does Steve spend a Wednesday morning.
After many failed attempts, I am now able to publish blogs again thanks only to downloading a new web browser. But this is no ordinary blog. I am sitting at home, right pant leg rolled up with my foot in a scalding hot bucket of water and Epsom salt. Supposedly, the Epsom salt will help fight the infection in my big toe from a recent injury. Hopefully I am not suffering any burns from the boiling water.

It's hard to walk when your hurt.

For the past several weeks I have thought often of Citywalks 5 values:

Everyday sacredness
Generosity in all things
Pursuing truth while embracing mystery
Traveling together
Interruptions allowed

We call these values The Walk. And you know, sometimes it's really hard to walk when you are hurting. As a pastor, a growing community, a new church...it is a very earnest prayer that we help each other continue to walk and don't allow our circumstances to paralyze us along the way.

As we reach into 2007, I hope we all learn what it means to walk (live) well in light of the truth we pursue together. You know, I think this Epsom salt is actually working.
